Job Description

Landslog Law Offices is hiring a Data Protection & Privacy Lawyer to advise Icelandic and international clients on GDPR implementation, data breach response, and privacy compliance under Icelandic law. This role is critical as Iceland's digital economy expands and data centre investments grow.

Responsibilities

Advise on GDPR compliance programmes, data processing agreements, and privacy impact assessments. Handle data breach notifications to the Icelandic Data Protection Authority. Draft privacy policies and cookie consent frameworks for digital platforms. Support cross-border data transfer mechanisms including Standard Contractual Clauses.

Requirements

Cand.Jur. or LL.M. with focus on data protection or information technology law. 3-6 years of experience in GDPR compliance, privacy law, or cybersecurity regulation. Knowledge of the Icelandic Data Protection Authority's guidance and enforcement practice. Fluent in Icelandic and English.
