Dispute Resolution Junior Associate

Al Tamimi & Company is seeking a Junior Associate to join our dispute resolution practice, with this role based at our client-facing workspace in Lusail City. As Lusail rapidly develops into Qatar's new administrative and commercial hub, this position offers early career exposure to commercial litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution in one of the Gulf's most dynamic legal markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior lawyers on commercial dispute matters before Qatar courts and the QICDRC
• Draft pleadings, legal memoranda, and witness statements in English
• Conduct legal research on Qatar Civil Code (Law No. 22 of 2004) and Commercial Law provisions
• Support arbitration proceedings under ICC, QICDRC, and LCIA rules
• Manage document bundles, hearing preparation, and case administration
• Attend court hearings and arbitration sessions alongside senior advocates

• Support the dispute resolution team on active cases
• Maintain case files and chronologies for ongoing matters
• Prepare research notes on Qatari procedural and substantive law
• Assist with billing, time recording, and client reporting
• Attend professional development training sessions

• LLB from a recognised university; LLM in Dispute Resolution or International Arbitration an advantage
• 0-2 years PQE in litigation, arbitration, or commercial disputes
• Strong legal research and writing skills in English
• Qualified in any recognised jurisdiction; Qatar Bar eligibility a plus
• Interest in international arbitration and Middle Eastern dispute resolution
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural team
