Job Description

Latvenergo is hiring an Energy & Regulatory Counsel to provide legal support on energy market regulation, renewable energy projects, and EU energy transition compliance. You will advise on the legal framework for electricity generation, distribution, and trading.

Responsibilities

Advise on regulatory compliance for electricity generation and distribution operations. Support renewable energy project development including wind and solar initiatives. Draft submissions to the Public Utilities Commission on tariff and licensing matters. Provide legal guidance on electricity trading agreements and EU emissions trading scheme obligations.

Requirements

Master's degree in law. Minimum 5 years of experience in energy law or utility regulation. Knowledge of the Electricity Market Law, Energy Law, and EU Clean Energy Package. Experience with the Public Utilities Commission (SPRK) is preferred. Fluent in Latvian and English.
