Job Description

Latvijas Banka invites applications for a Financial Regulation Specialist to contribute to the development and implementation of the financial regulatory framework in Latvia. This role involves participation in EU-level regulatory discussions and transposition of EU directives into national legislation.

Responsibilities

Analyze and draft legal opinions on proposed EU financial regulations. Participate in working groups at the ECB, EBA, and EIOPA. Coordinate with the Saeima on legislative transposition of EU financial directives. Advise on licensing requirements and supervisory processes for financial market participants.

Requirements

Master's degree in law or finance. Minimum 5 years of experience in financial regulation or supervision. In-depth knowledge of CRD/CRR, MiFID II, and Solvency II frameworks. Experience with the ECB Single Supervisory Mechanism is an advantage. Fluent in Latvian and English.
