Job Description

Siemens AG is looking for an experienced In-House Counsel to join our Technology and Intellectual Property legal team in Munich. You will provide strategic legal advice on IP portfolio management, technology licensing, R&D collaborations, and digital transformation initiatives across Siemens' global operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and advise on Siemens' global IP portfolio including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets
  • Negotiate technology licensing agreements, R&D collaborations, and joint development agreements
  • Advise on open source software compliance and software licensing
  • Provide legal guidance on AI and digital twin technology deployments
  • Coordinate with external patent attorneys and manage IP litigation
  • Support M&A transactions with IP due diligence and integration
  • Train business teams on IP awareness and protection strategies

Requirements

  • Zweites Staatsexamen (Praedikatsexamen preferred) or equivalent qualification
  • 5-8 years of experience in IP/technology law, with in-house or law firm background
  • Admitted as Rechtsanwalt or Syndikusrechtsanwalt
  • Strong knowledge of German and European patent, trademark, and copyright law
  • Technical background or understanding of engineering/software concepts preferred
  • Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus
  • Experience with IP portfolio management tools and patent analytics
