Key Responsibilities

  • Draft statements of case, witness statements, and legal submissions for arbitration tribunals
  • Advise on enforcement of arbitral awards under Qatar's Arbitration Law (Law No. 2 of 2017) and the New York Convention
  • Handle construction and energy disputes arising from Qatar's North Field Expansion and infrastructure projects
  • Represent clients before the QICDRC and in proceedings before Qatar's Court of Cassation
  • Manage expert appointments, document production, and hearing logistics for international arbitrations seated in Doha

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of arbitration cases from commencement to award
  • Develop the firm's arbitration practice in Qatar and the wider region
  • Deliver client seminars and thought leadership on Qatari dispute resolution
  • Supervise junior lawyers and paralegals on arbitration matters
  • Advise on pre-arbitration strategies including mediation and negotiation

Requirements

  • 8+ years PQE with a focus on international arbitration, preferably with Middle East experience
  • Strong advocacy and written submission skills in English
  • Experience with QICDRC, ICC, LCIA, and DIAC arbitration rules
