Job Description

DLA Piper Panama is looking for a Senior Associate in International Arbitration to represent clients in ICC, ICSID, and ad hoc arbitration proceedings. Panama's strategic position and arbitration-friendly legal framework make it a growing seat for commercial and investment disputes in Latin America.

Responsibilities

Represent clients in international commercial and investment arbitrations. Draft memorials, witness statements, and expert reports. Conduct legal research on public international law and treaty interpretation. Manage document production and hearing preparation. Advise on arbitration clause drafting and seat selection for new contracts.

Requirements

Licenciatura en Derecho. 6+ years of international arbitration experience. Knowledge of Panama's Ley de Arbitraje Comercial (Decreto Ley 5 de 1999). Experience with ICC, ICSID, and UNCITRAL arbitration rules. LLM in International Dispute Resolution preferred. Bilingual Spanish/English; French a plus.
