Job Description

Schoenherr Sofia is looking for a Junior Associate to join its Corporate & Commercial team. The position provides an excellent launchpad for a legal career in a leading international law firm with a strong CEE presence. The Junior Associate will gain hands-on experience across corporate governance, commercial contracts, and regulatory matters while benefiting from Schoenherr's structured training program and cross-border deal exposure.

Responsibilities

Assisting with due diligence processes for M&A and corporate transactions; Drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, distribution contracts, and framework agreements; Preparing corporate documents and Commercial Register filings; Conducting legal research on Bulgarian and EU corporate and commercial law issues; Assisting senior lawyers with regulatory submissions and licensing matters; Participating in client meetings and deal negotiations; Supporting cross-office projects with Schoenherr's regional network.

Requirements

Master's degree in Law from a recognized Bulgarian or European university; Admission to the Sofia Bar Association with 1-2 years of post-qualification experience; Solid understanding of the Commerce Act, Obligations and Contracts Act, and corporate governance principles; Fluent English and German (German strongly preferred); Strong academic record; Excellent drafting, research, and analytical skills; Team player with a proactive attitude.
