Job Description
Konkurrensverket (the Swedish Competition Authority) is recruiting a Jurist for its Competition Enforcement department at Östergatan 12 in central Stockholm. You will investigate and prosecute anti-competitive conduct — including cartels, abuses of dominant position, and illegal mergers — under konkurrenslagen (the Swedish Competition Act, SFS 2008:579) and TFEU Articles 101-102, representing the authority before Patent- och marknadsdomstolen (Patent and Market Court).
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate suspected cartels, bid-rigging, and concerted practices under Chapter 2 of konkurrenslagen
- Assess merger notifications under the Swedish Competition Act's merger control thresholds
- Prepare prosecution cases and represent Konkurrensverket before Patent- och marknadsdomstolen
- Coordinate with the European Commission and ECN on cross-border competition enforcement
Requirements
- Swedish juristexamen; 3-5 years PQE in competition law, commercial litigation, or regulatory
- Knowledge of konkurrenslagen (SFS 2008:579), TFEU Art. 101-102, and EU merger control
- Strong analytical and investigative skills
- Fluent in Swedish and English
