Legal Counsel — Data Privacy & Platform Regulation

Spotify is seeking a Legal Counsel for its Privacy & Platform Legal team at Regeringsgatan 19 in central Stockholm near Stureplan. As one of the world's largest digital platforms with 600+ million users, Spotify faces complex data privacy, content regulation, and digital platform governance challenges. You will advise on GDPR compliance, EU Digital Services Act (DSA), Digital Markets Act (DMA), and Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY) regulatory engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on GDPR compliance for Spotify's data processing across 180+ markets, including IMY (Swedish Data Protection Authority) engagement
• Handle EU Digital Services Act (DSA) compliance including content moderation transparency, illegal content reporting, and risk assessments
• Advise on EU Digital Markets Act (DMA) obligations and gatekeeper compliance
• Draft and maintain privacy policies, cookie consent frameworks, and data processing agreements
• Support product teams on privacy-by-design for new features and AI-powered recommendations

Requirements

• Law degree (juristexamen or equivalent); 3-6 years PQE in data privacy, technology law, or platform regulation
• Strong knowledge of GDPR and its Swedish implementation, IMY guidance, and DSA/DMA
• Experience advising technology or digital media companies preferred
• Fluent in English; Swedish an advantage
