Job Description
Visa's Nairobi innovation hub seeks Legal Counsel to support its sub-Saharan Africa operations, focusing on digital payments, fintech partnerships, and regulatory engagement across 20+ markets. The role is central to Visa's strategy of expanding digital payment infrastructure in Africa.
Responsibilities
Provide legal support for Visa's digital payment products and fintech partnerships in SSA. Navigate regulatory requirements across multiple African jurisdictions. Draft and negotiate technology licensing, co-branding, and sponsorship agreements. Advise on data protection compliance across markets with varying legislation. Support government relations and industry advocacy on payment regulation.
Requirements
LLB with 5-7 years PQE in financial services, payments, or fintech law. Multi-jurisdictional experience across sub-Saharan Africa. Knowledge of payment systems regulations, data protection, and consumer protection across key African markets. Experience with technology licensing and partnership agreements.
