Job Description
CBZ Holdings, one of Zimbabwe's largest financial services groups, seeks a Legal Counsel for the Insurance Cluster (CBZ Life and CBZ Insurance). You will provide in-house legal support on insurance regulation, claims disputes, reinsurance arrangements, and corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise CBZ Life and CBZ Insurance on regulatory compliance with IPEC requirements
- Handle insurance claims disputes and litigation management
- Draft and review reinsurance treaties and policy wordings
- Advise on corporate governance, board matters, and statutory filings
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel
Requirements
- LLB degree, registered with the Law Society of Zimbabwe
- 5+ years experience in insurance law, corporate law, or in-house counsel roles
- Knowledge of Insurance and Pensions Commission (IPEC) regulations
- Understanding of life and short-term insurance products
