Job Description

NAMFISA invites a Senior Legal Advisor to lead its insurance regulatory legal team, overseeing compliance frameworks for life insurers, short-term insurers and medical aid funds.

Responsibilities

Provide senior legal guidance on the Short-term Insurance Act and Long-term Insurance Act
Lead enforcement and supervisory legal proceedings
Advise the CEO and Board on regulatory legal strategy
Represent NAMFISA at IAIS and FSAP reviews

Requirements

LLB plus LLM or equivalent; insurance law expertise preferred
Minimum 6 years in insurance regulation or financial services law
Leadership experience managing a legal or compliance team
