Job Description
Wise is looking for a Legal Counsel to support our Product & Commercial teams from our Tallinn headquarters. You will provide day-to-day legal support for product launches, commercial partnerships, and technology agreements in Estonia's thriving fintech ecosystem.
The role involves drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, advising on consumer protection under the Voisoigusseadus (Law of Obligations Act) and Tarbijakaitseseadus (Consumer Protection Act), and supporting Wise's expansion into new markets and product lines.
Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, partnership contracts, and vendor agreements. Advise product teams on legal requirements for new feature launches and market expansions. Review marketing materials for compliance with Tarbijakaitseseadus (Consumer Protection Act). Support M&A and strategic investment activities. Manage outside counsel relationships in multiple jurisdictions.
Requirements
Law degree from a recognized university. 3-5 years of experience in commercial, technology, or fintech law. Knowledge of Estonian commercial law (Voisoigusseadus) and consumer protection regulation. Experience drafting technology and partnership agreements. Fluent in English; Estonian is preferred.
