Job Description

Eesti Pank (Bank of Estonia), the central bank of Estonia and a member of the Eurosystem, is seeking a Legal Specialist for our Financial Stability Department in Tallinn. You will provide legal support for macroprudential policy, bank resolution, and financial stability oversight.

The role involves advising on the Krediidiasutuste seadus (Credit Institutions Act), the Bank Recovery and Resolution Directive (BRRD), and Eesti Pank's macroprudential toolkit. You will contribute to Estonia's financial stability framework within the European Central Bank's Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM).

Responsibilities

Provide legal advice on macroprudential policy measures and financial stability matters. Draft legal opinions on the interpretation of Estonian and EU financial legislation. Support Eesti Pank's role in the European Central Bank's Single Supervisory Mechanism. Advise on bank resolution and recovery planning under the BRRD framework. Prepare legal analysis for the Financial Stability Committee and Governing Board.

Requirements

Oigusteaduse magister from a recognized university. 3-6 years of experience in financial regulation, central banking, or banking supervision. Knowledge of the Krediidiasutuste seadus and EU banking resolution framework (BRRD). Understanding of macroprudential policy tools. Fluent in Estonian and English.
