MEDICOLEGAL DEATH INVESTIGATOR I/II

The Clark County Coroner/Medical Examiner's Office is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Medicolegal Death Investigator I/II position. This position performs specialized and skilled work independently and in support of the Coroner Investigation staff. Responsibilities include investigating death scenes, collecting and documenting information and evidence, providing follow-up assistance to family members, preparing written reports of findings for distribution to appropriate agencies, and maintaining the legal chain of custody in all matters related to deceased individuals.

Medicolegal Death Investigator I: $28.15 - $41.52 Hourly

Medicolegal Death Investigator II: $30.38 - $44.84 Hourly

The Medicolegal Death Investigator I is a training underfill position, upon successful completion of the training program the successful candidate will be non-competitively promoted to Medicolegal Death Investigator II.

This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months at either level or may be extended as needed by Human Resources.
