Paralegal — Credit & Loan Operations

Banco Industrial is hiring a Paralegal for its Credit & Loan Operations team in Guatemala City. You will support the legal department by managing loan documentation, collateral registrations, and credit file administration for the bank's commercial and retail lending portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review loan agreements, promissory notes, and mortgage documentation
• Register collateral and security interests at the Registro General de la Propiedad and Registro de Garantias Mobiliarias
• Maintain and organize credit files and legal documentation archives
• Coordinate with notaries on escritura publica execution for mortgage loans
• Track loan maturity dates, renewal deadlines, and collateral release conditions

• Process loan documentation packages for closing
• Coordinate property registrations and lien searches
• Support attorneys on credit restructuring matters
• Maintain digital and physical document management systems

• Pensum cerrado or Licenciatura in law from a recognised Guatemalan university
• 1-2 years experience in banking or legal support roles
• Proficiency in Spanish; basic English an advantage
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with Registro General de la Propiedad procedures
