Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) is hiring a Paralegal to support its in-house legal department at the company's headquarters in Seria. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional to gain hands-on experience in oil and gas contracts, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance within Brunei's largest energy company.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in-house lawyers with contract management, filing, and document review for upstream and downstream operations
• Maintain the legal department's contract database and ensure timely renewal of key agreements
• Prepare summaries, comparison charts, and clause analyses for production sharing contracts and procurement agreements
• Coordinate with external law firms on litigation matters and document production
• Support corporate governance activities including board meeting preparation and minute-taking
• Handle regulatory filing deadlines with the Department of Energy and the Registrar of Companies

• Provide paralegal support to the legal department on oil and gas matters
• Manage the contract database and document management system
• Coordinate administrative tasks for the in-house legal team

• Diploma or degree in law, legal studies, or paralegal studies
• 1-3 years of experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or in a law firm/in-house legal department
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems
• Familiarity with oil and gas contracts is advantageous
• Fluent in English and Malay
