Job Description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Privacy Associate Analyst based in the United States.

This role sits within a specialized privacy function supporting healthcare operations in a complex, data-driven environment.
You will contribute to the protection of sensitive health information by supporting privacy investigations, compliance activities, and operational risk reviews.
The position offers broad exposure to HIPAA-driven processes, healthcare workflows, and privacy governance frameworks.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze incidents, document findings, and help strengthen privacy controls across systems and processes.
A key part of the role involves supporting continuous improvement in privacy operations, including the use of modern tools, automation, and emerging technologies.
You will also help translate regulatory expectations into practical, scalable business processes.
This is a highly collaborative and analytical role, ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving in a regulated, fast-evolving healthcare environment.

Accountabilities:

    • Support privacy incident and breach investigations involving protected health information, including fact-finding, documentation, and coordination with internal stakeholders.
    • Assist in determining scope, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions under the guidance of senior privacy team members.
    • Maintain accurate records of privacy incidents, logs, case documentation, and compliance trackers in line with retention requirements.
    • Conduct privacy risk reviews of workflows, data flows, and technology use cases to identify potential compliance gaps.
    • Support privacy operations activities including issue tracking, reporting, and ongoing case management.
    • Contribute to privacy risk assessments, audits, monitoring activities, and regulatory response preparation.
    • Help develop and improve privacy documentation, policies, training materials, and operational templates.
    • Track regulatory and industry developments and summarize implications for internal privacy practices.
    • Assist in identifying trends and recurring privacy issues and escalate findings to senior team members.
    • Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
      • 2–4 years of experience in privacy, compliance, healthcare operations, information governance, risk management, cybersecurity, or a related analytical field.
      • Working knowledge of privacy principles, data protection standards, and regulatory expectations (HIPAA knowledge preferred).
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document findings and explain complex topics to non-technical audiences.
      • Experience producing structured documentation such as reports, case notes, or policy-related materials.
      • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
      • Comfort working with digital tools, case management systems, spreadsheets, and reporting dashboards.
      • Interest in emerging technologies such as AI, automation, and data-driven privacy solutions.
      • Willingness to pursue or obtain privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPM, CHPC or equivalent).
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment with shifting priorities.
