Job Description

The ACP is hiring a Procurement and Contracts Attorney to manage the legal framework for Canal infrastructure procurement, construction contracts, and service agreements. The ACP follows its own procurement regime distinct from the general Ley de Contrataciones Públicas, and this role ensures compliance with those specialized rules.

Responsibilities

Draft and review construction contracts, service agreements, and purchase orders. Advise on procurement processes from bid preparation through contract award. Handle contract modifications, claims, and dispute resolution. Manage performance bonds, insurance requirements, and warranty provisions. Coordinate with engineering teams on technical specifications and scope changes.

Requirements

Licenciatura en Derecho. 3-6 years of experience in public procurement or construction contracts. Knowledge of ACP procurement regulations and FIDIC contract forms. Bilingual Spanish/English.
