Job Description
Dentons Hamilton Harrison & Mathews, part of the world's largest law firm, seeks a Senior Associate for its Banking & Finance practice. The role involves advising local and international banks, DFIs, and private credit funds on syndicated lending, project finance, trade finance, and regulatory matters across East Africa.
Responsibilities
Lead on banking transactions including syndicated facilities, bilateral loans, and project finance. Draft and negotiate facility agreements, security documents, and intercreditor arrangements. Advise on CBK prudential guidelines and banking sector regulations. Mentor junior associates and pupils.
Requirements
Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. 5-8 years PQE in banking and finance law. Experience with syndicated loan documentation, security perfection under Kenyan law, and CBK regulatory framework. Working knowledge of ISDA documentation is an advantage.
