Senior Associate — Banking & Finance

Hassan Radhi & Associates is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Banking & Finance practice in Manama's Diplomatic Area. You will advise regional and international banks on conventional and Islamic financing transactions, including syndicated facilities, sukuk issuances, and project finance under Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Structure and draft conventional and Islamic finance documentation, including murabaha, ijara, and wakala agreements
• Advise on compliance with CBB Rulebook Volume 2 (Islamic Banks) and Volume 6 (Capital Markets)
• Represent clients before the Bahrain Court of Cassation and the High Civil Court on banking disputes
• Conduct due diligence on Bahraini and GCC corporate entities for financing transactions
• Coordinate with the Bahrain Bourse on public offerings and securities regulations

• Lead deal execution on syndicated loans and sukuk issuances
• Mentor junior associates and legal trainees
• Develop client relationships with Bahrain-based financial institutions
• Contribute to the firm's thought leadership on Islamic finance

• LLB from a recognised university; LLM in Banking Law or Islamic Finance preferred
• Licensed to practise by the Bahrain Bar Society
• 6-8 years post-qualification experience in banking and finance law
• Fluent in Arabic and English (bilingual drafting essential)
• Strong knowledge of Bahrain Commercial Companies Law (2001) and CBB regulations
