Senior Associate — Real Estate

Alta QIL+4 is recruiting a Senior Associate for its Real Estate practice in Guatemala City. You will advise developers, investors, and financial institutions on real estate acquisitions, development projects, and property finance across Guatemala, including commercial developments in Zona 10 and Zona 15.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on real estate acquisitions, sales, and development agreements
• Conduct title searches and due diligence at the Registro General de la Propiedad
• Structure real estate financing and mortgage documentation
• Draft lease agreements, condominium regimes (regimenes de propiedad horizontal), and land use contracts
• Advise on municipal permits and CONRED construction compliance

• Lead complex real estate transactions for institutional investors
• Coordinate with notaries on escritura publica and property registrations
• Build client relationships with Guatemalan real estate developers
• Supervise associates on due diligence and title investigations

• Licenciatura en Ciencias Juridicas y Sociales from a recognised university
• Colegiado activo with the Colegio de Abogados y Notarios de Guatemala
• 6-8 years post-qualification experience in real estate and property law
• Fluent in Spanish and English
• Strong knowledge of the Registro General de la Propiedad procedures and Codigo Civil
