Job Description

Senior Avocat a la Cour – International Tax Structuring

Loyens & Loeff's Luxembourg office on Rue Charles Martel is seeking a Senior Avocat a la Cour for its market-leading Tax practice. As the largest Benelux law firm, Loyens & Loeff has a dominant position in Luxembourg tax structuring for PE funds, real estate vehicles, and multinational holding structures.

You will advise asset managers, PE sponsors, and multinational corporations on Luxembourg tax structuring, including SOPARFI holding optimisation, fund tax structuring, and advance tax ruling applications to the Administration des Contributions Directes (ACD).

What You Will Do

  • Structure Luxembourg tax-efficient holding and fund vehicles for PE/RE investors
  • Draft and negotiate advance tax ruling requests to the ACD
  • Advise on Luxembourg participation exemption, IP box, and interest deduction limitation rules
  • Advise on ATAD I/II implementation in Luxembourg and substance requirements
  • Coordinate with Loyens & Loeff's Amsterdam and Brussels offices on Benelux tax structuring

Responsibilities

  • Lead Luxembourg tax structuring mandates for PE, RE, and corporate clients
  • Draft tax opinions and advance ruling requests
  • Advise on ATAD implementation and substance requirements
  • Coordinate with Benelux colleagues on cross-border tax planning
  • Contribute to business development and client relationship management

Requirements

  • Admission to the Barreau de Luxembourg as Avocat a la Cour
  • Master in Law and/or Master in Tax Law from a recognised European university
  • 7-10 years of experience in Luxembourg or international tax structuring
  • Deep knowledge of Luxembourg tax law, participation exemption, and tax treaty network
  • Fluent in English and French; Dutch or German is an advantage for Benelux clients
  • Experience with Luxembourg advance tax rulings and ACD interactions
