Job Description

LOGOS Legal Services is seeking a Senior Fisheries & Maritime Lawyer to advise on Iceland's fisheries quota system, vessel financing, and international maritime conventions. You will represent fishing companies, seafood exporters, and shipping operators in regulatory and transactional matters across Icelandic and EEA jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

Advise on fishing quota allocations, transfers, and regulatory compliance. Draft and negotiate vessel purchase, charter, and financing agreements. Represent clients before the Directorate of Fisheries and in maritime arbitration. Provide counsel on EU/EEA fisheries directives and international trade in seafood products.

Requirements

LL.M. or Cand.Jur. degree with Icelandic bar admission. 8+ years of experience in fisheries regulation, maritime law, or natural resources. Deep knowledge of the Fisheries Management Act and UNCLOS. Fluency in Icelandic and English required.
