Job Description
Finansinspektionen (FI) is seeking a Senior Jurist for its Banking Supervision division at Brunnsgatan 3 near Hötorget in central Stockholm. You will play a key role in supervising Sweden's systemically important banks (SEB, Handelsbanken, Swedbank, Nordea) and developing regulatory policy under lagen om bank- och finansieringsrörelse, EU CRD/CRR, and the SSM framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct supervisory reviews (SREP) of major Swedish banks under CRD V/CRR II and FI's FFFS regulations
- Advise on development of FFFS regulations implementing EU banking directives and regulations
- Handle licensing applications for banks, credit market companies, and payment institutions
- Represent Finansinspektionen in ECB/SSM supervisory colleges and EBA working groups
- Prepare administrative sanctions, warning decisions, and penalty fee orders
Requirements
- Swedish juristexamen; 6-9 years PQE in banking regulation, financial supervision, or banking law
- Deep knowledge of CRD/CRR, Swedish banking legislation, and FI's FFFS regulatory framework
- Experience with supervisory or regulatory work in financial services
- Swedish citizenship or EU residency (security requirement)
