Job Description
Ericsson is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel for its IPR & Licensing division at Torshamnsgatan 21 in Kista Science City, Stockholm's technology hub. Ericsson holds one of the world's largest portfolios of standard-essential patents (SEPs) for 5G, 4G/LTE, and IoT technologies. You will manage patent licensing negotiations, FRAND disputes, and technology licensing across 180+ countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate FRAND (Fair, Reasonable, and Non-Discriminatory) licensing agreements for Ericsson's 5G/LTE SEP portfolio
- Manage patent litigation strategy across jurisdictions including the Unified Patent Court (UPC), US, China, and India
- Advise on standard-setting organisation (ETSI, 3GPP) participation and SEP declaration obligations
- Handle patent valuation, royalty rate analysis, and comparable licence benchmarking
- Coordinate with Ericsson's patent prosecution team on portfolio development and maintenance
Requirements
- Law degree (juristexamen or equivalent); 6-10 years PQE in patent litigation or technology licensing
- Experience with SEP/FRAND licensing negotiations and disputes
- Understanding of telecommunications technology (5G, LTE, NR standards)
- Fluent in English; Swedish an advantage
