About the Role
HFW Greece is looking for a Senior Maritime Lawyer to lead ship finance and marine insurance matters from our Piraeus office. You will work alongside one of the world's premier maritime law practices, advising major Greek shipping families and international lenders on complex ship finance transactions and insurance disputes.
Responsibilities
- Lead ship finance transactions including loan agreements, mortgage documentation, and restructuring
- Handle marine insurance disputes, hull and machinery claims, and P&I coverage issues
- Advise on vessel acquisition and disposal, flag state registration, and regulatory compliance
- Manage relationships with Greek and international shipowning clients
- Supervise junior associates and contribute to business development in the Greek market
Requirements
- Qualified dikigoros, member of Dikigoritikos Syllogos Piraeus or Athens
- 7+ years of experience in maritime law, ship finance, or marine insurance
- Proven track record in handling complex shipping transactions
- Excellent English drafting and negotiation skills
- Established network in the Greek shipping community preferred
