About the Internship
Zu'bi & Partners, a leading regional law firm with significant expertise in intellectual property matters, is offering a 4-month paid internship in its IP and Technology practice. This programme gives aspiring lawyers practical experience in trademark prosecution, patent advisory, and IP enforcement across Bahrain and the GCC markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with trademark and patent filing procedures before Bahrain's IP Office (MOICT)
- Conduct trademark clearance searches and prepare availability reports for clients
- Draft opposition and cancellation proceedings documentation
- Research GCC trademark registration procedures and cross-border IP protection strategies
- Support the team in preparing IP portfolio management reports for corporate clients
- Assist with anti-counterfeiting enforcement actions and customs recordal procedures
Requirements
- Final-year law student or recent LLB/LLM graduate with interest in intellectual property law
- Strong research and writing skills in English; Arabic is a plus
- Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple trademark matters simultaneously
- Basic understanding of IP concepts including trademarks, patents, and copyrights
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with IP management software is a bonus
