Internship Description
PT Pertamina (Persero) offers a Legal Internship in its Energy & Environment legal team at the headquarters on Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur, Central Jakarta. This paid 3-month programme gives law students exposure to energy sector contracts, environmental compliance, and government regulatory processes in Indonesia's largest state-owned enterprise.
Programme Details
- Duration: 3 months
- Stipend: Paid — IDR 3,500,000-5,000,000 per month
- Start: Rolling applications (Q2/Q3 2026)
What You Will Learn
- Review production sharing contracts and joint operating agreements
- Research environmental law compliance under UU PPLH and AMDAL requirements
- Assist in drafting contract summaries and legal review memoranda
- Observe dispute resolution proceedings and negotiations
- Learn about the Indonesian oil and gas regulatory framework (UU Migas)
Eligibility
- 3rd or 4th year LLB student from a recognised Indonesian university
- Interest in energy, environment, or natural resources law
- Strong research and writing skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English
- Willingness to learn about technical aspects of oil and gas operations
Responsibilities
Review PSCs and JOAs, research environmental compliance, draft contract summaries, observe disputes, learn oil and gas framework
