Position Overview
Internship Description
CMS Germany offers a Praktikum (legal internship) in our Legal Tech and Innovation team in Berlin. This is a unique opportunity for law students to gain experience at the intersection of law and technology, working on digital transformation projects, legal tech tools, and AI-driven legal solutions.
Responsibilities
- Assist with legal tech projects including contract automation and AI document review tools
- Research legal frameworks for emerging technologies including AI regulation
- Support the team in evaluating and implementing legal technology solutions
- Prepare presentations and reports on legal tech trends
- Participate in innovation workshops and hackathons
- Assist with IP and data privacy matters related to technology projects
Requirements
- Enrolled in a German law program (Rechtswissenschaften) or completed Erstes Staatsexamen
- Strong interest in legal technology, innovation, and digital transformation
- Basic understanding of IP law and data privacy (GDPR)
- Programming knowledge or data analysis skills are a strong plus
- Fluent in German and English
- Duration: 3-6 months, full-time
- Compensation: Monthly stipend provided
