About the Internship
Trowers & Hamlins, a leading international law firm with deep roots in the Middle East, is recruiting a legal intern for its Real Estate and Construction practice in Bahrain. This 4-month paid internship offers practical exposure to property transactions, construction disputes, and infrastructure project advisory work across Bahrain and the wider GCC.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with drafting and reviewing property sale agreements, lease contracts, and development agreements
- Research Bahraini real estate law including the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) framework
- Support the construction disputes team with case research and document review
- Prepare summaries of freehold and leasehold ownership regulations for foreign investors
- Attend project meetings with developers, contractors, and government authorities
- Assist with FIDIC contract reviews and construction claim assessments
Requirements
- Final-year law student or recent graduate from a recognised university
- Interest in real estate, construction, or infrastructure law
- Strong research and analytical skills with clear legal writing ability
- English fluency required; Arabic is a significant advantage
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
