Research Intern — Capital Markets Regulation

The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) of Kuwait offers a paid 3-month Research Internship in its Legal and Research Division in Al-Mirqab, Kuwait City. This programme gives law students the opportunity to understand securities regulation from the regulator's perspective, working alongside CMA lawyers who oversee Boursa Kuwait and the broader capital markets ecosystem.

Programme Details

• Duration: 3 months (Summer 2026)
• Compensation: Paid — KWD 300-400/month stipend
• Eligibility: 3rd/4th year LLB students; Kuwaiti nationals preferred

What You Will Learn

• Research comparative securities regulation across GCC markets (Tadawul, ADX, DFM, Bahrain Bourse)
• Assist with reviewing prospectuses and public offering documents
• Support the investigation team on potential market misconduct cases
• Draft research papers on capital markets regulatory developments
• Attend CMA Board briefings and inter-agency coordination meetings

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of LLB at Kuwait University or equivalent
• Interest in securities law, capital markets, or financial regulation
• Bilingual Arabic/English with strong research and writing skills
• Kuwaiti nationality preferred for government entity
