Abogado Senior — Derecho Tributario

Coronel & Pérez, a leading tax and corporate law boutique in Quito, is seeking a Senior Tax Lawyer to join its practice. The firm is recognised by International Tax Review and Chambers Latin America for its tax advisory and litigation work.

The role involves advising multinational corporations, financial institutions, and high-net-worth individuals on Ecuador's tax regime, including compliance with the Ley de Régimen Tributario Interno (LRTI), transfer pricing rules, and the evolving framework of tax incentives for investment.

• Leading tax planning strategies for domestic and multinational clients
• Representing clients in tax disputes before the SRI, Tribunal Distrital de lo Fiscal, and appellate courts
• Advising on transfer pricing compliance and documentation requirements
• Structuring investment vehicles to benefit from COPCI tax incentives
• Managing tax due diligence for M&A transactions

• Título de Abogado from a recognised Ecuadorian university
• Registered with the Foro de Abogados del Ecuador
• 7-10 years of post-qualification experience in tax law
• Expert knowledge of the Código Tributario, LRTI, and SRI administrative procedures
• Experience representing clients before the Tribunal Distrital de lo Fiscal and the Corte Nacional de Justicia
• Fluent English for international client advisory
• LL.M. in Tax Law or International Taxation preferred
