Job Description

Eversheds Sutherland Tallinn is looking for an Associate to handle Employment Law matters from our Tartu office. You will advise employers on all aspects of Estonian employment regulation, including the Toolepaingute seadus (Employment Contracts Act), collective agreements, and workplace disputes.

The role covers advisory work on hiring, terminations, working time, and employee benefits, as well as representation before the Labour Dispute Committee (Toovaaidluskomisjon). Tartu's growing tech sector and proximity to the University of Tartu create a steady demand for employment law advice.

Responsibilities

Advise employers on hiring, termination, and working time compliance under the Toolepaingute seadus. Draft employment contracts, non-compete agreements, and workplace policies. Represent clients before the Labour Dispute Committee (Toovaaidluskomisjon). Advise on collective redundancies and restructuring processes. Prepare legal memoranda on developments in Estonian and EU employment law.

Requirements

Oigusteaduse magister from a recognized university. 2-4 years of employment law experience. Knowledge of the Toolepaingute seadus (Employment Contracts Act) and Toetervishoiu ja tooohutuse seadus (Occupational Health and Safety Act). Experience with Labour Dispute Committee proceedings. Fluent in Estonian and English.
