Job Description
Eversheds Sutherland Tallinn is seeking a Senior Associate for our Intellectual Property & Technology practice. You will advise on IP protection, technology transactions, and digital innovation matters for Estonian and international clients.
Estonia is a global leader in digital governance and e-services, creating a vibrant tech ecosystem. The role covers trademark and patent strategy, software licensing, SaaS agreements, and disputes before the Industrial Property Board of Appeal (Toostu omandi apellatsioonikomisjon). You will leverage Eversheds Sutherland's global network to serve cross-border clients.
Responsibilities
Advise clients on trademark, patent, and copyright protection strategies in Estonia and the EU. Draft and negotiate technology agreements including SaaS, licensing, and development contracts. Represent clients in IP disputes before the Industrial Property Board of Appeal and Harju County Court. Advise on AI, fintech, and emerging technology regulation. Coordinate with Eversheds Sutherland offices on cross-border IP matters.
Requirements
Oigusteaduse magister and admission to the Estonian Bar Association (Eesti Advokatuur) preferred. 5-7 years of experience in IP and technology law. Deep knowledge of Estonian IP legislation and EU IP frameworks. Experience with technology transactions and software licensing. Fluent in Estonian and English.
