Job Description

The Ward Law Group is seeking an experienced Legal Settlement & Closing Specialist to support the successful resolution of plaintiff personal injury cases. Experience negotiating medical liens, coordinating settlements, and communicating with clients, providers, and insurance companies is highly preferred.

What You'll Do

As a Settlement & Reductions Specialist, you'll play a vital role in maximizing client recoveries and ensuring a seamless closing experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Negotiate medical liens and provider balances to maximize client settlements
  • Review settlement documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding the status of their settlement
  • Coordinate with medical providers, insurance companies, and lienholders
  • Obtain and organize medical records, billing statements, and settlement documentation
  • Verify insurance coverage and medical balances
  • Maintain accurate documentation within Litify and other case management systems
  • Conduct quality reviews to ensure timely case progression
  • Collaborate with attorneys and internal departments to facilitate efficient case closings
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the settlement process

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications

  • Recent or prior experience (minimum 1 year) as a Personal Injury Closing Specialist, Reductions Specialist, Settlement Specialist, or in a similar role within a Plaintiff Personal Injury law firm.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish
  • Experience negotiating medical liens, provider balances, and settlement reductions
  • Strong knowledge of settlement disbursement and case closing procedures
  • Experience communicating with medical providers, insurance carriers, clients, and lienholders
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Litify, Salesforce, Filevine, SmartAdvocate, Clio, or similar legal case management software
  • Experience working in a high-volume plaintiff personal injury practice
