Commercial Litigation Associate — Cukur & Partners, Izmir

Cukur & Partners is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate for its Alsancak office in Izmir. The firm handles a diverse litigation docket covering commercial disputes for Aegean region manufacturers, exporters, and service companies before Izmir's Commercial Courts.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients in commercial disputes before Izmir Commercial Courts, Civil Courts of First Instance, and the Izmir Regional Court of Justice
• Handle debt recovery, breach of contract, and commercial agency disputes
• Draft statements of claim, defense briefs, and appellate submissions
• Manage enforcement and bankruptcy proceedings under Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law No. 2004
• Attend mandatory mediation (arabuluculuk) sessions for commercial disputes
• Advise on consumer disputes before Izmir Consumer Courts and consumer arbitration panels
• Handle employment disputes arising from Izmir's manufacturing and export sectors

• Active avukat license registered with the Izmir Bar Association
• 2-5 years of litigation experience in Turkish courts
• Strong knowledge of Turkish Commercial Code No. 6102, Code of Civil Procedure No. 6100, and Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law No. 2004
• Experience with mandatory mediation (arabuluculuk) for commercial disputes
• LLB from a recognized Turkish university (Dokuz Eylul, Ege, or equivalent)
• Fluent Turkish; English is a plus
• Willingness to travel to courts across the Aegean region
