DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Houston Health Department is seeking a Contract Administrator who will be responsible for:
  • Verifying that all supporting documentation is properly attached and consistent with the program鈥檚 request
  • Oversees executed grants and manages the submission of contracts request to the Strategic Procurement Division,聽while monitoring the status of executed contracts
  • Maintains current and accurate records on leasehold information;聽
  • Conducts inventories and ensures compliance with agreements
  • Interprets contract documents and assists in the resolution of disputed issues
  • Works with finance groups and other City departments to resolve problems regarding agreements聽
  • Research contract issues and prepares information relating to contracts, agreements and practices;聽
  • Drafts correspondence to various individuals relating to established agreements
  • Prepares bids, processes specifications, tests and progress reports, and other exhibits that may be required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc.
There are no major sources of discomfort, i.e., essentially normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature and air conditions.
