Job Description
Gwinnett County Superior Court Division 5 is seeking a Court Reporter to transcribe verbatim Court testimony and hearings.
Essential Duties
- Attending hearings or Court sessions and reporting verbatim testimony (via recording devices and/or shorthand) of non/jury (pleas, motions, rules, etc.), and civil/criminal proceedings聽
- Preparing verbatim transcripts of hearings and trials as provided by law and providing transcribed testimonies, etc. to Judges, DAs, and attorneys and other interested parties
- Maintaining year-to-date records of said proceedings
- Processing billing notices for reporting/transcriptions
- Preparing weekly reports and maintaining records
- Performing other clerical tasks necessary for completion of Court functions, as assigned
- At the direction of the judge
The grade for this position is 101. Salary will be dependent on education, experience, and certification level.
Hiring Salary Range: 聽
- Certified Court Reporter - $77,157
- Certified Court Reporter with Georgia Realtime License - $79,817
- Certified Court Reporter with National Realtime License - $90,460

Minimum Qualifications
- Court Reporter Certification AND
- One year of experience performing stenographical duties, taking and transcribing verbatim information in a legal environment
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
- Valid GA Driver's license
- Georgia or National certified Court Reporting license.
- Three years of experience performing stenographical duties, taking and transcribing verbatim information in a legal environment聽聽
