Job Description
MIT is hiring a Customs and Trade Compliance Officer to ensure all cargo operations comply with the Autoridad Nacional de Aduanas regulations, free zone rules, and international trade sanctions. Colón is a critical trade node, and compliance is essential for smooth port operations.
Responsibilities
Oversee customs clearance procedures and documentation for container operations. Manage compliance with trade sanctions and export control regulations. Coordinate with the Autoridad Nacional de Aduanas on inspections and audits. Train operations staff on customs compliance requirements. Handle disputes and appeals related to customs assessments and penalties.
Requirements
Licenciatura en Derecho or International Trade degree. 3-5 years in customs compliance, trade law, or logistics. Knowledge of Autoridad Nacional de Aduanas regulations and WCO Revised Kyoto Convention. Bilingual Spanish/English.
