Job Description

Banistmo is looking for a Data Privacy and Consumer Protection Counsel to manage compliance with Panama's Ley 81 de 2019 (Personal Data Protection Law) and ACODECO consumer protection regulations. The role ensures the bank's digital products and customer data practices meet legal standards.

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain the bank's data protection compliance program. Conduct data protection impact assessments for new digital products. Manage consumer complaints and regulatory inquiries from ACODECO. Draft privacy policies, consent mechanisms, and data processing agreements. Train business units on data handling requirements.

Requirements

Licenciatura en Derecho. 3-5 years of experience in data privacy or consumer protection law. Knowledge of Ley 81 de 2019 and ACODECO regulations. CIPP/LA or equivalent privacy certification preferred. Bilingual Spanish/English.
