Education and Experience: A High School diploma, GED or higher, and four (4) years of code enforcement, or construction code inspection, or plan review experience.

Licenses and Certificates: Texas Class "C" Driver's License or equivalent issued by another state.聽

Must be certified as Texas Fire Inspector in compliance with Texas Commission on Fire Protection Standards of Education (TCFPSE) within one (1) year of appointment and successfully complete Field Training Program. 聽Must be certified by International Code Council (ICC) Fire Inspector I and International Code Council (ICC) Fire Plans Examiner within one (1) year of appointment.
