In-House Counsel — Telecommunications & BPO

Tigo Guatemala, the country's leading telecommunications provider, is seeking an In-House Counsel for its Legal Department in Guatemala City. You will advise on regulatory compliance, commercial contracts, and BPO/outsourcing agreements for Tigo's telecommunications and digital services operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on compliance with the Ley General de Telecomunicaciones and SIT regulations
• Draft and negotiate BPO/outsourcing agreements, service level agreements, and technology contracts
• Handle spectrum licensing and regulatory filings before the Superintendencia de Telecomunicaciones (SIT)
• Advise on data protection, privacy, and cybersecurity legal requirements
• Support corporate transactions and strategic partnerships for digital services

• Provide day-to-day legal support to Tigo's commercial and operations teams
• Manage a portfolio of vendor and outsourcing contracts
• Monitor regulatory changes in telecommunications and digital services
• Coordinate with regional legal teams across Millicom operations

• Licenciatura en Ciencias Juridicas y Sociales from a recognised university
• Colegiado activo with the Colegio de Abogados y Notarios de Guatemala
• 4-6 years experience in telecommunications, technology, or commercial law
• Fluent in Spanish and English
• Knowledge of the Ley General de Telecomunicaciones and SIT regulatory framework
