Job Description
Nokia is looking for an IP Counsel to join our Technology Licensing team in Espoo. You will support patent licensing programs, conduct freedom-to-operate analyses, and advise on IP-related aspects of Nokia's technology partnerships and joint ventures.
The role requires a strong understanding of Finnish and European patent law, including proceedings before the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) and the Market Court (Markkinaoikeus). You will also engage with the Unified Patent Court (UPC) system.
Responsibilities
Support patent licensing negotiations and agreement drafting. Conduct freedom-to-operate and patentability analyses. Advise on IP aspects of technology partnerships, joint ventures, and R&D collaborations. Monitor patent portfolios and coordinate with external patent counsel. Prepare for and support patent proceedings before the Market Court and UPC.
Requirements
OTM or equivalent law degree. 4-7 years of experience in intellectual property law, preferably in the technology sector. Knowledge of Finnish and European patent law and the UPC system. Experience with patent licensing and FRAND-related matters. Fluent in English; Finnish is an advantage.
