In 2015, we pioneered a “moneyball for biotech” approach, pooling projects and promising early-stage research from academia together under one financial umbrella to reduce risk and unleash innovation. This model allows science and small teams of experts to lead the way. We build bridges to groundbreaking advancements in rare disease, and develop life-changing medicines for patients with unmet needs as fast as humanly possible.
Together we define white space, push boundaries, and empower people to solve problems. If you're someone who defies convention, join us and work alongside some of the most respected minds in the industry. Together, we'll ask "why not?" and help reengineer the future of biopharma. At BridgeBio, we value curiosity and experimentation—including the ethical & thoughtful use of AI to improve clarity, speed, and quality of work.
BridgeBio's Legal and Compliance function is scaling fast, and the tools, systems, and workflows behind it need to scale with it. The Sr. Manager/Associate Director of Legal Operations exists to help build that foundation: aligning process, governance, and technology under a single operational strategy so the function can keep pace with the business.
This role will support the build out of the legal technology stack end-to-end — combining project and program management discipline with the technical depth to support these initiatives directly.
Scope and Impact You will support the build of technology and infrastructure that the entire Legal and Compliance team relies on daily, from the CLM platform to AI-enabled workflows. The goal is a legal function that runs on modern, well-governed systems instead of manual workarounds.
Front Lines of Building BridgeBio's legal technology stack is still being built. You will help to define use cases and and workflows that don't yet exist yet, with the latitude to project manage the build outs and integrations well from the start.
Mission at the Core Every priority you drive and every initiative you advance is ultimately in service of getting life-changing medicines to patients who have no alternatives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
CLM Management
- Serve as the primary administrator and a subject-matter expert for CLM, including end-to-end workflow configuration, template management, metadata governance, routing logic, user permissions, and repository integrity.
- Support end-to-end implementation of contract management tool.
- Support system testing, UAT, deployment and post-go-live support.
- Manage implementation timelines, milestones and budgets.
- Proactively monitor the product roadmap; evaluate new features, provide recommendations for adoption to the adoption to the CLM Steering Committee, where required, and champion adoption.
- Analyze contracting data and usage patterns to identify inefficiencies and recommend structural workflow improvements to the CLM Steering Committee for approval, implementing approved changes that reduce cycle times and attorney involvement in routine tasks.
- Partner with stakeholders and translate business requirements from attorneys and stakeholders into clear, functional workflows.
- Track and report on CLM performance metrics, including cycle times, self-service rates, routing accuracy, and adoption trends, and deliver actionable reporting to legal leadership and CLM Steering Committee.
- Maintain data integrity and governance standards across the contract repository.
- Support integrations with CRM, ERP, procurement, e-signature, and document management platforms.
- Serve as the first point of contact for business users on contract workflow questions, intake processes, and system-related inquiries.
Legal Technology
- Serve as the primary administrator of all legal technology tools, including evaluating, implementing, and maintaining the legal tech stack in coordination with Head of Legal & Compliance Operations.
- Provide input to legal technology roadmap based on team's operational priorities and broader enterprise systems.
- Coordinate with IT, Procurement, and external vendors on tool integrations, license management, and system configurations.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting mechanisms that surface operational insights to legal leadership.
- Lead end-to-end implementations of identified legal technology platforms.
AI Tool Configuration & Automation
- Lead regular training curriculum and exercises that better optimizes AI tool adoption by the Legal team.
- Implement AI-assisted workflows to automate routine legal tasks, including contract review support, intake triage, document generation, and knowledge retrieval.
- Serve as an internal expert on responsible AI adoption— carrying out the established governance standards, use-case guardrails, and evaluation frameworks for new AI tools in conjunction with Head of Legal & Compliance Operations.
- Partner with Head of Legal & Compliance Operations to identify automation opportunities and translate them into implemented, measurable workflow improvements.
- Stay current on developments in legal AI and surface relevant tools and capabilities to the Head of Legal & Compliance Operations for strategic consideration.
Legal Operations & Process Infrastructure
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable legal operations processes, including intake workflows, legal request triage, template libraries, playbooks, and knowledge management systems.
- Build and maintain enablement materials—including training guides, workflow documentation, and self-service resources—to improve adoption and reduce attorney time spent on operational questions.
- Identify process gaps and implement structural solutions, rather than one-off fixes, with an eye toward repeatability and scale.
- Manage the full lifecycle of external legal technology vendors—including assessment and selection, onboarding, ongoing relationship management, and continuous performance evaluation—to ensure effective partnerships, timely support, and strong return on investment.
WHAT THIS ROLE REQUIRES
You are a builder, not just an administrator. You combine strong project and program management experience with legal operations expertise, and you know how to turn a messy manual process into a scalable system.
You lead change, not just projects. You know that a CLM implementation or an AI rollout is only as good as the adoption it drives, so you apply change management thinking, building awareness, earning buy-in, and sustaining momentum long after launch.
You are technical enough to build, not just direct. You have the technical aptitude to configure, administer, and troubleshoot legal technology platforms directly, and a clear point of view on how the right tools change legal practice.
