Litigation Advocate — The Law Chambers Myanmar

The Law Chambers in Mandalay seeks a Litigation Advocate to strengthen our courtroom practice. Based near the Mandalay Region High Court on 66th Street, you will handle a diverse caseload including commercial disputes, civil claims, family law matters, and constitutional petitions.

This role involves regular court appearances before township courts, district courts, and the Mandalay Region High Court. You will handle appeals to the Union Supreme Court, draft legal opinions on Myanmar statutory interpretation, and represent clients in enforcement proceedings under the Code of Civil Procedure.

• Represent clients in commercial and civil litigation at all court levels
• Draft pleadings, written submissions, and appellate briefs
• Appear before township, district, and High Court on behalf of clients
• Handle family law matters including succession and property disputes
• Prepare legal opinions and advisory memoranda
• Manage case calendars and coordinate with court registrars

• Qualified Advocate with right of audience before Myanmar courts
• 3-5 years of active litigation experience in Myanmar
• Experience appearing before Region High Courts and Union Supreme Court
• Strong knowledge of the Code of Civil Procedure and Evidence Act
• Advocacy skills in both Myanmar and English
• Understanding of constitutional law and administrative law
• Based in or willing to relocate to Mandalay
