Job Description

The Legal and Compliance Senior Manager role will support the Company in complying with all relevant legislation, regulations, and specifications, which may include health and safety, environmental, legal, or quality standards, as well as any ethical policies the Company has in place. The candidate would possess a strong analytical mind, be a technical and creative thinker, have a strong aptitude for problem solving. The ideal candidate will have excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, along with the fervent desire to continuously learn about different products and technologies.            

Role requirements

  • Someone who is looking to take responsibility for managing and overseeing the majority of Legal matters the Company needs to address
  • Being the internal point of contact for legal advice and providing broad advice to internal departments on legal and contractual matters
  • Develop and maintain processes which provide clear and concise compliance support for the business

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple work streams and/or project teams to execute against project plans
  • Promote, manage and deliver the continuous improvement of legal activities and delivery
  • Display effective organization skills and manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities
  • Demonstrate strong capabilities to engage directly with Legal & Business leadership on strategy and be able to pivot to granular detail within working teams

  • Managing stakeholder relationships effectively with regards to compliance matters
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and drive creation of integrated project plans and timelines
  • Propose solutions to manage client expectations and manage scope throughout the delivery of the project
  • Drive standardization of delivery and activities to provide efficient service
  • Demonstrate sharp attention to detail in executing and reviewing work/ contracts to ensure the highest quality deliverables in the allotted timeframe
  • Integrate and synthesize information from multiple teams, including product, legal and policy domain knowledge, in order to analyze complex issues, mitigate risks and solve problems
  • Managing stakeholder relationships effectively with regards to compliance matters
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and drive creation of integrated project plans and timelines
  • Propose solutions to manage client expectations and manage scope throughout the delivery of the project
  • Drive standardization of delivery and activities to provide efficient service

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience working on legal, compliance, privacy, and/or security related projects
  • Experience with regulatory and compliance matters affecting the technology industry (e.g., privacy, antitrust and competition issues, regulatory compliance)
  • Experience leading departmental and enterprise-wide projects
  • Experience managing a diverse set of stakeholders and cross-functional teams from project initiation through close
