Legal Internships in Zimbabwe 2026
Zimbabwe requires 12 months of articles of clerkship after passing the CLE Bar examination before admission as a legal practitioner. Vacation internships are also available for current LLB students.
Types of Placements
- Articles of Clerkship (12 months): Mandatory for admission. Available at Harare and Bulawayo law firms, banks and government.
- Vacation Work: 1–3 month placements during university holidays at law firms and corporates.
- Research Internships: Available at ZIMRA, ZLS and the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission.

USD Salaries
Articled clerks typically earn USD 400–800/month. Mining company and international NGO placements pay higher.
