About Belgian Competition Authority (BCA)
The Belgian Competition Authority (Belgische Mededingingsautoriteit/Autorité belge de la concurrence) is the national competition enforcement body headquartered on the Rue du Progrès in Brussels. The BCA investigates anti-competitive agreements, abuses of dominant position, and reviews merger notifications under Book IV of the Belgian Code of Economic Law (CEL/WER). The authority works in close coordination with the European Competition Network (ECN) and DG Competition of the European Commission. Legal professionals at the BCA conduct dawn raids, analyze complex market dynamics, and draft enforcement decisions that shape Belgian and EU competition policy.
